    They usually have lower financial means than people who are in the workforce, so we need to have good policies to encourage them to stay in school.

    Well, not all of them…Proud Student has a daddy who pays for his kindergarten tuition and everything while he can play on the internet with his little friends Truth T and Read.Truth…daddy is a high ranking official in the PRC government…

    discount of what?
    As far as I know, college students can enjoy 50% discount of train tickets, and in Beijing 80% discount for bus ticket.
    I have never heard of air tickets discount for students.

    I guess the reason why government give subsidy to students, especially college students,is that they don’t have a steady income and need financial aid.

    many countries do that, not only china. Even in Malaysia, students have discount to watch movies in cinema.
